The Role 

The Player Operations Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless execution of player services leading up to and during the 2025 US Open. This position will support the Professional Tennis Operations team by handling operational and administrative tasks while working closely with players, seasonal staff, and vendors.

Dates: Monday July 7th - Tuesday September 9th, 2025

  • Provide operational and administrative support to the Professional Tennis Operations and Player Relations team.
  • Assist with general administrative duties, event planning, and ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
  • Support seasonal player operations staff with uniform distribution, paperwork, and training.
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining key player areas, including the locker rooms, fitness center, offices, practice courts, and lounges.
  • Manage room assignments and key distribution for player areas.
  • Coordinate with facility operations to ensure all player areas are fully equipped and functional.
  • Assist with player communication materials, signage, and collateral.
  • Help organize and execute player gifting programs and US Open champions' events.
  • Liaise with external vendors to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Oversee the physical setup and breakdown of all player spaces, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment.

 

Who You Are

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced sports, entertainment, or hospitality environment required; experience working directly with athletes or VIPs is a plus.
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong ability to adapt and problem-solve in a dynamic, fast-changing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to interact professionally with players, staff, and vendors.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable with physical demands such as lifting and carrying heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and assisting with event setup/breakdown.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Compensation: This is a non-exempt position with an hourly rate of $20.00.
