The Role 

The US Open Player Ticketing Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient distribution of tickets to players and their agents during the 2025 US Open. This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, prior ticketing experience, and familiarity with ticketing software. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess excellent customer service skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. A second language is preferred.

Dates: Friday, August 15,2025 - Monday, September 1, 2025

  • Assist the Player Ticketing Manager in processing daily ticket requests for players and agents, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions. This includes managing ticket orders, payments, and delivery.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to players and agents, addressing their ticketing inquiries and resolving any issues promptly and professionally.
  • Utilize Ticketmaster or Arctics ticketing software to manage ticket inventory, process orders, and generate reports. Maintain accurate records of all transactions.
  • Communicate effectively with players, agents, and internal staff regarding ticket availability, policies, and procedures. This includes answering phone calls, responding to emails, and providing in-person assistance.
  • Proactively identify and resolve ticketing issues, escalating complex problems to the Player Ticketing Manager as needed, and using strong conflict resolution skills and judgement.
  • Maintain organized records of ticket requests, transactions, and confirmations. Ensure all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Adhere to all ticketing policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with US Open regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Player Ticketing Manager.

 

Who You Are

  •  High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
  • Prior experience in a ticketing role, preferably using Ticketmaster or Arctics software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) preferred.  
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required during the tournament.
  • Fluency in a second language preferred.

Compensation: This is a non-exempt position with an hourly rate of $20.00.
